Open My Eyes: Partnership with Rowan Campus Catholic Ministry

Om March 29, 2014, Assumption 3397 assisted Rowan University’s Campus Catholic Ministry program with their “Open My Eyes” presentation. The day long event featured several speakers on Rowan’s campus and a Mass celebrated by Bishop Dennis Sullivan at Saint Bridget’s Parish.

Welcome, Bishop Sullivan, to the Third Degree

Sullivan 3rd DegreeOn March 14, Bishop of the Diocese of Camden Dennis Sullivan, along with Father Phil Johnson of St. Thomas More Parish in Cherry Hill and 30 other men, received the honor of the exemplification of the Third Degree of the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter Parish in Merchantville.

In attendance, as well, were brother Knights and dignitaries. Front row, Deacon Michael Carter; Msgr. Michael Mannion, Associate State Chaplain; Father Anthony Manuppella, pastor of St. Peter; Bishop Sullivan; Andrew Lipenta, State Deputy; Reggie Beckett, Vice Supreme Master, Fourth Degree; and Dr. Daniel Rossi, Supreme Director.

Diocese of Camden FaithFULL Food Drive

From February 14-23, 2014, Assumption 3397 assisted in the collection and distributions for the Diocese of Camden FaithFULL Food Drive.

The tally is in for Assumption Council 3397! Total food delivered for the FaithFULL–4,359 pounds.

2,859 pounds from Sts. Peter and Paul Parish 
983 pounds from Church of St. Bridget 
229 pounds from CCM / Newman Club 
166 pounds from St. Michael the Archangel Regional School
122 pounds from the students in PREP
